Optim’Protec

Optim’Protec®: is the close protection range for conveyor belts’ nip angles

With Optim’Protec® , you secure your conveyors by doing away with the risk in accordance with EC norms.

Optim’Protec® does away with the risk of accidents in the nip angles by doing away with the nip angle by implementing a fixed element:

  • The nip angles are formed by two points turning in a converging manner.
They are the most frequent source of accidents on conveyor belts. These accidents generally have very serious consequences.
→ Any object (garment) or limb (arm, hand) coming only slightly in contact with an nip angle will inevitably be dragged along at the same speed as the linear movement of the pieces transported.

This means that with a belt moving at 1m/sec, an arm caught in an nip angle will be torn off in seven tenths of a second
be torn off in seven tenths of a second …
There is no exit from an nip angle without consequences…

  • Most accidents take place during maintenance and when adjusting conveyor belts: the Optim’Protec® protects all production operators, maintenance personnel and any other interveners in the same way also during maintenance and when adjusting the operation of conveyor belts.
